GOOD NEWS

Michael Stuart and Sally Wragg who are regular members of our congregation, are due to be married at St. Paul’s on 2nd April so please remember them in your prayers as they prepare for their Wedding.

On the 28th February I was fortunate to be at Manchester Cathedral for a service of thanksgiving for the Bishop’s Parish Pilgrimages and for our continuing commitment to pass on the Gospel values of faith, hope and love. It was a lovely service with the Archbishops of Canterbury and York accompanying Bishop Nigel at the service. During the service the Bishop and Archbishops processed to the Regiment Chapel, where they signed a copy of the King James Version of the Bible. The 400th anniversary of this translation falls during 2011. The Bible will remain in Manchester Cathedral. Also at the service Lay Canon Alan Cooper from St. Andrews Church was honoured for his work in The Diocese and the wider church. He will be the first recipient of the newly created William Temple Order. A very proud moment for Alan.

Til next time….
