Thank you to everyone who joined us at Christ Church on Friday 4th March for the Women’s World Day of Prayer. It was a lovely service and we enjoyed refreshments together after the service.
TUESDAY 12th APRIL—Service of Holy communion 7.30pm in the Memorial Chapel. SATURDAY APRIL 16th—Mothers’ Union Spring Council, St. Thomas’ Centre Ardwick—10.00am to 2.30pm Please see Carol for details. NOTICE TO ALL BAKERS!! On Sunday April 17th—PALM SUNDAY—the Mothers’ Union will be selling cakes in the Parish Room. All proceeds will be donated to the ‘WHEELS APPEAL’ . Mothers’ Union worldwide transport budgets have been cut by two thirds in the global recession. When aid can’t get to them, families suffer. Transport is vital. Please see Carol if you would like to help by baking or bringing a cake to sell. EASTER WEEK 22nd—25th April—THERE WILL BE NO MOTHERS UNION MEETING. WEDNESDAY 4th MAY—Eccles Deanery Festival at St. John the Baptist, Walkden, 7.30pm. Looking forward to Summer........The Mothers Union day trip this year is to Llandudno on Tuesday 28th June.
